Bronze

In 1991 the University of Nevada at Reno, Nevada invited the students of Lake Tahoe Community College to participate in a bronze casting workshop. This was my first experience with casting bronze. Later, LTCC developed its own bronze foundry, first with rudimentary equipment that later developed into a state of the art casting foundry. I was fortunate to have been a part of that program since its inception and have experienced the thrill of pouring many of my own bronze sculptures.

I believe it is important to the integrity of the original artwork that the artist is knowledgeable and physically involved with, or, at best oversees, every stop in the many processes of casting a bronze sculpture, from mold to patina.
