Drawings

With every pose and each model there lies the challenge to capture not only gesture, but moreover the psychology of the individual. This is where truth lies and this is my primary goal.

I believe that drawing is an integral part of sculpting. It is in drawing that we train our eyes to "see" and we study how anatomy controls the form.

But it is more than just anatomy. I have been drawing from life for more than twenty years and it amazes me how different we individuals are. No two people express themselves in the same way even though our bones and muscles are designed the same. The challenge is to read the body’s language and capture truth.
